CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)

Beyond our regular ministry, we encounter many children in our communities who live in heartbreaking conditions of poverty. These little ones face unimaginable challenges every day—going to bed hungry, lacking clean drinking water, missing school because their families cannot afford fees or scholastic materials, and growing up without proper shelter or healthcare. Many come from dysfunctional families torn apart by poverty, domestic violence, or abandonment. As a result, they grow up without knowing the warmth of love, the security of a safe home, or the encouragement that every child deserves.

At Concerned Heart Ministries, we refuse to stand by while these children suffer in silence. With God’s help and the generosity of friends and partners, we step in to provide the essentials that restore dignity and hope—nutritious meals, access to education, counseling, and spiritual care. We believe that no child is too broken to be restored and that every life is precious in the eyes of God. By walking alongside them, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and give each child a chance to dream again, to smile again, and to see a brighter tomorrow.

We believe children are not only the future of the church—they are the church of today. They carry immense potential that, when nurtured in an environment of love and faith, can blossom into leadership that transforms families, communities, and nations. Our children’s ministry exists to give them that foundation—grounded in God’s Word, strengthened by compassion, and supported by practical help. Through Sunday school, Bible clubs, mentorship, and holistic care, we are raising a generation of young people who know their identity in Christ and are empowered to impact the world around them.

We respond to theses challenges through the following activities:
  • Sunday School & Bible Clubs:
We organize Sunday school classes and Bible clubs, especially during school holidays, to give children a strong spiritual foundation. These sessions are not just about teaching, but about engaging them in ways they understand and enjoy. Through songs, memory verses, drama, games, and storytelling, children are introduced to the love of Christ and biblical values that shape their character. They learn important lessons on kindness, honesty, forgiveness, and faith that guide them in their daily lives. Over time, many children who participate grow in confidence, develop discipline, and show positive transformation in their behavior both at home and at school.

  • Safe Learning Spaces: We recognize that many children come from homes where they face neglect, abuse, or instability. To address this, we create safe and welcoming environments where they feel loved, valued, and free to express themselves. Within these spaces, children receive not only spiritual instruction but also mentorship, counseling, and guidance that helps them cope with life’s challenges. It is here that children begin to heal from past traumas, discover their self-worth, and gain the courage to dream again. Our safe learning spaces are more than classrooms; they are sanctuaries of hope and restoration.

  • Education Support:
Education is one of the greatest tools to break the cycle of poverty, yet many children are denied this opportunity due to financial hardships. At Concerned Heart Ministries, we step in to bridge the gap by providing essential scholastic materials such as books, pens, and uniforms. In addition, we cover half of the school fees for underprivileged children, giving them the dignity and opportunity to stay in school. By doing this, we not only help them access formal education but also encourage them to pursue their dreams and reach their God-given potential.

  • Providing Basic Needs & Food
We understand that learning and spiritual growth cannot thrive on empty stomachs or without basic essentials. Whenever resources allow, we provide children with food, clothing, and other necessities to improve their quality of life. A simple meal, a clean uniform, or even a pair of shoes can restore dignity and hope to a child who has gone without. By meeting these practical needs, we remove barriers that hinder children from focusing on school and growing in faith. This holistic care ensures that their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are all addressed.

Testimonies & Achievements

  • Literacy Breakthroughs: Through our literacy program, many children who once struggled to read or write can now confidently handle their studies. Parents and teachers alike testify that these programs have changed the academic future of their children.
  • Identity and Purpose: In the safe, nurturing environment of our ministry, children have begun to recognize their unique talents—whether in music, art, leadership, or academics. More importantly, they are discovering their true identity in Christ and learning that their lives have purpose and meaning in God’s plan.
  • Family Transformation: Several families have testified that since their children joined our programs, there has been a remarkable improvement in their children’s behavior, attitude, and school performance. These changes have brought peace and joy into homes and encouraged parents to also draw closer to God.

Our Heart Behind It All

Our heartbeat for children is rooted in Jesus’ words: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14). We believe that when children encounter God’s love early in life, they gain a strong foundation for their future. Through this ministry, we are not just teaching children—we are raising disciples, nurturing leaders, and shaping generations for Christ.
